Account Settings

Manage your profile, email, password, appearance, and account deletion.

Overview

The Account Settings page lets you manage your personal profile and preferences. Navigate to it from the sidebar user menu or go directly to /t/<slug>/settings/account. You can also find it using Global Search (Cmd+K) and typing "account".

Profile Information

Update your display name, which appears throughout MineSync wherever your user is shown.

  1. Enter your name in the Name field.
  2. Click Save Changes.

Email Address

Change the email address associated with your account.

  1. Enter your new email in the Email field.
  2. Click Update Email.

If the email address is already in use by another account, the update will be rejected with a conflict error. Changing your email resets your email verification status.

Password

Change your account password. MineSync requires passwords to be at least 8 characters.

  1. Enter your Current Password for verification.
  2. Enter your New Password.
  3. Enter the new password again in Confirm New Password.
  4. Click Change Password.

If the current password is incorrect, the request will be rejected. The new password and confirmation must match.

Notifications

The Account Settings page provides quick toggles for:

  • Email Notifications — receive email notifications about important updates.
  • Push Notifications — receive push notifications in your browser.

Appearance

Switch between light and dark themes.

  • Toggle the Dark Mode switch to enable or disable dark mode.
  • Your preference is saved locally in your browser and persists across sessions.

Danger Zone: Delete Account

Permanently delete your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

  1. Click Delete Account in the Danger Zone section.
  2. A confirmation dialog appears.
  3. Type DELETE in the confirmation field.
  4. Click Delete Account to proceed.

Deleting your account removes all your tenant memberships and active sessions, then redirects you to the login page.

Common Questions

Where is the Account Settings page?

Navigate to /t/<slug>/settings/account, or open Global Search and type "account settings".

Can I change my profile picture?

The profile update API supports an image URL field, but the current UI focuses on updating your display name.

What happens if I forget my password?

The login page includes a "Forgot your password?" link for password recovery.
