Theme

Overview

The Theme page lets admins select a visual theme for their organization. Themes change the colour palette used throughout the MineSync interface, allowing each organization to brand the application to their preferences.

Key Concepts

Theme Presets

MineSync ships with a library of built-in theme presets. Each preset defines a complete colour palette including primary, secondary, and accent colours, along with background and surface tones. Themes are applied globally to all users in the organization.

Default Theme

If no theme is selected, the organization uses the MineSync default theme. You can reset to the default at any time by clearing the theme selection.

Custom Theme Setting

The Theme feature is controlled by the Custom Theme Enabled setting in Admin > Settings. If this setting is turned off, the theme selector is not available and the organization uses the default theme.

How to Use

Selecting a Theme

1. Navigate to Admin > Theme.
2. Browse the available theme presets. Each shows a preview of its colour palette.
3. Click a theme to select it.
4. The theme is applied immediately to all users.

Resetting to Default

1. Navigate to Admin > Theme.
2. Click the option to reset to the default theme (pass null as the theme preset).
3. The default MineSync colours are restored.

Viewing Available Themes

The theme library shows all available presets with their:

• ID -- Internal identifier
• Label -- Human-readable name
• Preview -- Visual colour swatch

Common Questions

Do themes affect all users?

Yes. The theme is set at the organization level and applies to every member.

Can I create a custom theme?

Currently, themes are selected from the built-in preset library. Custom theme creation (uploading your own colours) is not yet supported.

Is the theme change audited?

Yes. Theme changes are recorded in the audit log with the old and new theme values.

Does the theme persist across sessions?

Yes. The theme is stored on the tenant record in the database and is loaded on every page visit.
