User Management
Invite, create, and manage organization members and their roles.
Overview
The Users page lets admins manage who has access to the organization and what they can do. You can invite existing MineSync users, create new accounts directly, change roles, and remove members.
Key Concepts
Roles
MineSync has four roles, each with different permission levels:
| Role | Access Level |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access to all features and settings, including the admin area |
| Planner | Can manage fleet, schedules, work orders, and lifecycle data |
| Technician | Can view and update work orders and maintenance logs |
| Viewer | Read-only access to fleet data and dashboards |
Tenant Memberships
A user account can belong to multiple organizations. Each membership links a user to a specific tenant with a specific role. This means a user could be an Admin in one organization and a Viewer in another.
How to Use
Invite an Existing User
- Open Admin > Users.
- Click Invite Member.
- Enter the user's email address. The user must already have a MineSync account.
- Select a role from the dropdown.
- Click Invite.
The user will immediately appear in the members list and can access the organization on their next login.
Create a New User
- Open Admin > Users.
- Click Create User.
- Fill in the name, email address, and password (minimum 8 characters).
- Select a role.
- Click Create.
This creates both the user account and the organization membership in a single transaction.
Change a Member's Role
- Find the member in the list.
- Use the role dropdown next to their name.
- Select the new role.
You cannot change your own role. This prevents accidental lockout.
Remove a Member
- Find the member in the list.
- Click the remove button.
- Confirm the removal in the dialog.
You cannot remove yourself, and you cannot remove the last Admin from the organization.
Common Questions
What happens when I remove a member?
Their membership is deleted. The user account still exists and they can be re-invited later. They immediately lose access to the organization.
Can I deactivate a user without removing them?
Currently, the system supports removing memberships entirely. There is no "deactivate" toggle on individual memberships.
Is there a limit to the number of members?
There is no built-in limit on the number of members per organization.
Are role changes audited?
Yes. Every invite, role change, and removal is recorded in the audit log with before/after state.
