Forecasts

Projected future maintenance requirements and cost estimates based on fleet profiles and operating hours.

Overview

The Forecasts page projects future maintenance needs and costs for your fleet based on the maintenance profiles assigned to each vehicle and their current operating hours. This helps operations teams plan budgets, procure parts in advance, and schedule downtime windows.

This feature is currently under development. Forecast projections will be generated from the maintenance profile events, vehicle meter readings, and usage patterns once the integration is complete.

Key Concepts

  • Profile-based projection -- Each vehicle's assigned maintenance profile defines the component replacements and PM events at specific hour intervals. The forecast engine projects when those events will occur based on current hours and usage rates.
  • Cost aggregation -- Estimated costs from profile events are summed across the fleet to produce budget forecasts by period (monthly, quarterly, annually).
  • Parts demand -- Forecast data feeds into parts planning by predicting which parts will be needed and when, based on BoM linkages.

How to Use

Once available, the forecasts page will provide:

  • A timeline view of projected maintenance events by vehicle or fleet-wide.
  • Cost summaries broken down by period, component type, or equipment model.
  • Parts demand reports showing which parts will be needed and in what quantities.
  • Export capabilities for budget planning and reporting.

In the meantime, you can review individual profile detail pages to see the estimated lifecycle cost and event schedule for each equipment model.

Common Questions

How are forecasts calculated?

Forecasts use the target hour intervals from maintenance profile events combined with vehicle current hours and estimated usage rates to project when each event will trigger.

Can I adjust the forecast horizon?

The forecast configuration will support adjustable time horizons (e.g. 6 months, 1 year, 5 years) once the feature is complete.

Do forecasts update automatically?

Yes. As new meter readings are recorded and profile events are updated, the forecast projections will recalculate automatically.

Dashboard

The lifecycle dashboard provides a real-time operational overview of your mining fleet with KPIs, charts, and recent activity.

Meter Readings

Record and manage hour meter readings for fleet vehicles to drive preventive maintenance scheduling and utilization tracking.
